UPDATE ON BOOK & BLOGSPOT

One thing I'm learning is that at least in the creative realm,or in my piece of it, everything always takes longer to complete Than I thought it would.

I have been writing my book " THE SUPERNATURAL POWER OF MUSIC RELIGIOUS& SECULAR" since march of 2010. I'm told that's not bad but considering I thought I'd have it written in about 3 days and made available by years end....well, such is the creative process.

I have tweaked it as best I could and now I just have to figure out the best way to duplicate it and make it available online. These things take money, you know. I will soon put some excerpts here for preview. I may just make the whole book a blogspot if the money doesn't come. We'll see. Thanks for stoppin by. Bookmark me and check back often, won't you?

HISTORY OF MUSIC IN THE CHURCH VOL. I Symbolism and detail key

SECTION I

20. Don't Sleep. Meaning don't be ignorant of what God is doing in this hour of Earth's history.
21. Vatican Square symbolizing the roman catholic reformation and the beginning of papal control and manipulation of church music and musicians.
22. Gold Hands -It's becoming a trade mark of sorts with me. Kind of Like "God Presents.."

29. Roscoe Holcomb. Holcomb sang in a falsetto deeply informed by the Old Regular Baptist vocal tradition. made a record called " An Untamed Sense of control" a phrase that to me fit perfectly the sounds coming from a lot of churches.

33. Westley Brothers coaster. Charles Wesley published the words of over six thousand hymns, writing the words for a further two thousand, many of which are still popular. John Wesley is the founder of the Methodist church.

SECTION III

43. Church Boombox. An eternal sound coming thru the church,and the people of earth the audience waiting to hear.
44. Status quo- pictures those that would oppose this type of move of God and the effect the new sound would likely have on the lovers of spiritual political status. The photo of the old guard is shattered and the word "approved" appears again but with a question mark. This section is mounted on sand paper showing the abrasive effect of God's new sound on those who oppose change.

47. First Book of New Sounds. A book I found in a gas station while waiting for an oil change. It was confirmation to me and I had to take a pic and include it in the piece.
48. Restoration, Baby! The third and final church image in the piece. The power of God thru music is restored to the church, wound is gone.
49. New Sound Strikes the earth.
50. New Sound Prophetic Words. taken from actual prophesies regarding the new sound and spread throughout all 3 sections of the collage.
